Dr. Tom Lonsdale, “The Whistleblower Vet”, returns to us to blow the whistle and help me explain why vet costs are rising to unfathomable amounts and how the cause affects us all- pets, pet parents, and vets alike!
He is a Veterinarian with over 50-years of experience in the field.
Dr. Tom and I are exposing and explaining the little known fact that Mega-Corporations and Private Equity firms are buying up independently owned vet clinics/hospitals and other pet industry entities. The result… is increased pet health-care costs driven by corporate profit targets; compromised quality of care that is putting our pets in harms way; and added pressure on Veterinarians to meet revenue targets and push services - leading to severe moral distress, burnout, and emotional trauma for all clinic staff.
This effects us all!
Dr. Tom gives his perspective as to why vet costs are rising, and I walk you through the vertical control hold MegaCorp and Private Equity firm has on the healthspan and lifespan of your pet - and how we as pet parents unknowingly feed into the system.
